On January 7, 2026, delegations from Quezelco II , DOE Philippines visited and inspected the diesel generator production factory of East China Power. This visit was conducted to conduct research for the procurement of backup diesel generators for the black start of the micro-grid project on the Philippine islands. The first demonstration micro-grid project is scheduled to be completed and put into use by the end of 2026. After visiting the production workshop and test center of Huadong Power, the representatives highly praised the production and testing capabilities of Huadong Power. They signed a purchase contract with Huadong Power on the spot and expressed their intention to invite Huadong Power to deeply participate in the micro-grid project construction across the Philippines once the first demonstration project is qualified for acceptance. The diesel generators to be purchased this time consist of Cummins 4BTA3.9-G2, Leroy-Somer TAL-A42-H, Schneider NSX100 3P, and ComAp controllers. They can provide 50kw of power in case of grid failure.

HuaDong Power installed the 2nd lot gensets and proceeded maintenance for 1st lot gensets for Goldwind in Laos In October 2025, Huadong Power delivered 25 diesel generator sets for the second phase of the wind power project in Laos to Goldwind. The after-sales team of Huadong Power arrived at the site and carried out the installation work for the diesel generator sets of the second phase of the wind power project in Laos. The after-sales team of Huadong Power conducted 72-hour uninterrupted testing on 7 diesel generator sets of the first phase project, covering important parts of SAT to ensure that all diesel generator sets could be put into normal operation. Huadong Power also provided on-site training and guidance on maintenance and upkeep for the project staff. Why is regular maintenance of diesel generator sets necessary? To extend their service life Regularly replacing engine oil and filters (every 200-250 hours of operation), checking fasteners and cable connections, etc., can reduce mechanical wear and failure rates, and extend the overall lifespan of the equipment. To improve operational efficiency Maintenance includes cleaning radiators, adjusting belt tension, checking fuel systems, etc., which can prevent power reduction caused by carbon deposits, loosening, and other issues, and keep the equipment in optimal working condition. To ensure safe operation By checking key components such as the electrical system, coolant level, and battery status, potential oil leakage, short circuits, etc., can be prevented, reducing the risk of unexpected shutdowns. ‌ To lower operating costs Replacing worn parts (such as air filters every 500 hours for cleaning/replacement) can avoid major repairs caused by minor faults and reduce maintenance costs and time losses. ‌

Goldwind&HuaDong Power installed the biggest Floating wind turbine unit in the world GWH252-16-F in BeiHai On October 1, 2025, the ‌GWH252-16-F‌ floating wind turbine unit, jointly developed by Goldwind and China Three Gorges Corporation, was successfully installed in Beihai, Guangxi. It set multiple global records for the ‌largest single-unit capacity‌ and ‌largest rotor diameter‌ among floating offshore wind turbines currently installed, with all key components achieving full localization.With an annual power generation exceeding ‌57 million kWh‌, the unit can meet the electricity needs of ‌31,000 three-member households‌ for one year. HuaDong Power provided back up diesel generator set for it to adapt to severe weather at sea. The maritime climate is highly variable and the power grid is weak. Extremely powerful typhoons may cause damage to the power generation units at any time.
